“I am pleased to see the demanding work and dedication of our employees acknowledged,” said David Corrigan, President of Corrigan Moving. “We see everything our locations and team members do on a daily basis to make our organization successful; it’s fantastic to see that hard work acknowledged. We have the most special group of experts at Corrigan, seeing that highlighted at this awards celebration makes me very proud.”

The annual Unigroup Learning Conference returned to an in-person event this year. Held nearby the Unigroup HQ in St. Louis, MO, the gathering is attended by numerous members from various United and Mayflower agencies throughout the United States. After 3 days of events including classes and meetings, the conference always finishes with an accolade ceremony.

“I don’t recall the last event we didn’t earn an accolade of some type,” said Kirk Hensler, Vice President of Operations. “That displays to the level of consistent excellence of our drivers, relocation crews and office workforce. It’s wonderful to never go home unrewarded.”

Although many of Corrigan’s offices took top honors, a few of Corrigan’s specific employees carried home accolades in their specific categories. For the second year running, Cassandra McCann from the Grand Rapids, MI office won the Heart of Quality award. This accolade is presented just to the top level of relocation coordinators in the Unigroup system. To be suitable to win this honor, move coordinators are required to have impeccable customer opinion scores and complete continuing yearly training.

“We’ve had several move coordinators win this award, and we are so proud of Cassandra for winning two years in a row. She goes over and above for her clients. They realize how much she handles, we appreciate it, and now she has an additional award to join to her others,” said David Corrigan.

Myron Luikart works in Corrigan’s specialized Logistics department, working mostly on big projects. “Earning 2 Masters Club Inner Circle awards in the same year is difficult to do, however he did it. If somebody needs to uncover a way to a task done, it’s Myron. He brings incredible experience to our business and his clients. He manages some of our largest-scale projects and conducts them all with incredible care. He’s certainly an asset for us, we’re glad he got some recognition today,” said Kirk Hensler.

On top of to Luikart’s accomplishments, many members of Corrigan’s sales division were admitted into United’s elite Million Dollar Club for their exceptional sales achievements. These individuals display an excellent commitment to excellence in yearly handled linehaul revenue. Acknowledged were, Brandon Becker, Ann Arbor, MI location, Tim Carney, Cleveland, OH location, Rob Galardi, Rochester, NY location, Craig James, Auburn Hills, MI location and Mike Sparks, Buffalo, NY location. “All of these individuals have gone above and beyond in sales and truly demonstrated a devotion to helping our customers,” stated David Corrigan. “We are honored to have all of those men on our team.”

Three Corrigan branches won the Customer Excellence award, a prestigious accolade highlighting the commitment to customer satisfaction. After their relocation is completed, customers are asked to rank several pieces of their relocation. This comprises the initial estimate process, their relocation coordinator, packing, loading and delivery process. Every branch correlates to a different size category, contingent on how many relocations they handle each year. In order to win, each office needs to have the greatest feedback score in their size category, on top of meeting or exceeding the principles set for claims (number of damage reported during a move), safety and certified labor.

“This is not an easy award to achieve. Standards are incredibly high, and you have to be almost perfect in each category. To have 3 locations win for their respective size categories once again highlights the honor we take in delivering top quality to our customers,” said David Corrigan.

Lastly, the Cleveland office was presented with the Centers Network Performance honor. This accolade pertains to the Snap Move Container Program, where a customer pays for our crews to load, transport and deliver their shipment inside wooden vaults. This option can expedite service for small shipments, compared to conventional in-van moving options. The containers are transported to the closest United agent to where the customer is moving, who then aids with delivering the contents of those containers.

“The Centers Network Performance honor is just awarded to 2 agents. One recipient is for agents that handle 0 to 200 containers, and the second winner is for over 200 containers,” said Kirk Hensler. “Corrigan Cleveland received the Centers Network Performance honor for 0-200 containers. They were greatest of 94 agents. Standards that are evaluated are claims, efficiency in getting the containers prepared for pick up, efficiency in delivering inbound containers, and customer satisfaction.”

“It was wonderful to be back in person this year,” said David Corrigan, remembering the conference. “It’s been a tough few years working through the pandemic and now labor shortages. Spending time with our colleagues and discussing how they’re working through problems provides us new ideas to take back. Many of these agencies are facing the same difficulties we are and it’s a great chance to learn from each other, help one another and continue to foster good friendships with our agents. We rely on them to help our customers in states we don’t have a Corrigan location. They understand they can always depend on Corrigan to supply top tier service for each of their customers, as well. Overall, this was a tremendously effective conference and I couldn’t be more honored of how Corrigan Moving was portrayed and awarded.”
